The So Called Health Care Industry Likes Inefficiency and Huge Profits and Will Do Anything to Maintain the Health Care Denial System

In the absence of Republican protectors the so-called health insurance industry is in a state of panic. The health insurers are into this business for the huge profits, you know the kind of profits that mean a thirty percent overhead when private enterprise manages your health. Those rotten medicare folks spend something like three percent. So why aren't we talking about the 27 percent difference?

Could a Republican campaign of disinformation, fear and hate be part of the problem? Or have the Republicans become essentially past tense and this whole wave of hysteria is now being pressed forward by the powerful insurance industry, their well heeled investors and their numerous employees.

Common sense suggests that private health insurers will have to take smaller profits if they are to compete effectively against a Medicare-like system. I don't know if Obama plans on really instituting such competition but that is what he says he is doing. Rather than do this the managers, boards of directors and investors have good reason to try and sabotage any such competition by any means necessary. They have at their disposal nervous insurance salesmen, all sorts of administrators and health care deniers. All they have to do is say, you are getting paid to save your job go raise hell anywhere anyone talks about anything but the system we have now!
